I would like to live in the early 1960s, before JFK was assasinated. I love the music of the time and the TV shows of the time like Bonanza, and Leave It To Beaver and The Twilight Zone. And they made some pretty decent movies then too. And I love the way people dressed, the women wore pretty dresses and hats, so did the children, the men dressed handsomely, foods didn't have all the additives then. The only thing I wouldn't like about the 60s would be all the cigarette smoking and cigarette commercials

I also love song from Songs of Praise, Lord I Lift Your Name On High, Shout To The Lord, Shine Jesus Shine. I also love Peace Wonderful Peace, Great Is Thy Faithfulness. And lots more that would take up all this space. I love to listen to music and sing to songs on the radio.
I've always enjoyed Gloria on TBAA. In Heaven's Portal, she acted like a teenager, I think, because the beat of the music was new to her and she really got into it. The Rave part was so exciting to her. I don't think the concept of age would have worked, as she and Monica are around the same age(Roma is a few years older than Valerie). The idea of Monica being like the big sister and Tess the mother figure is a great take on how the characters all fit together.
Hallmark can delete as many posts as they feel that they need to. It will never change the opinions of the viewers. So many of us are still asking for the return of the Waltons and it continues to fall on deaf ears. I will say it again, Golden girls must have been very cheap for Hallmark to purchase. They have lots of preschool programming that is cute, There is PBS Kids, a Nickelodeon just for smaller children called Sprout, and lots more. Your baby can already hear. They love music, Buy some lullaby CDs and play them so he or she can get used to hearing them. When he or she is born, they will love a routine. I haven't watched all the disks yet, but when I put in The Last Summer, it started immediately at the scene where Mrs. Carter is opening her birthday gifts. After Jason gives her the broach, then it switches to the opening theme music and scenes. Then the episode starts all over again from the beginning with Ruthie Leland riding into town. I probably should have just bought the separate DVD Seasons 1 - 9. Are they all intact with nothing cut out?
Littlehousefan is right, barne. Their music is a bit eclectic (sp?), but I love it. I love how they combine classical with a rock beat and little jazz and blues. Their light shows are fantastic!
I first watched the last of a movie on TCM. It was about a teacher and her 4th grade class, it was set in Alabama and starred Dorothy Dandridge. Then I watched some of The Brady Bunch, I had to babysit my nephew Tristin. Later on I watched my Bonanza DVD I bought last week. I found out today that a channel played an opera called Carmen. Marcie, do you get GMC (the Gospel Music Channel)? They have Dr. Quinn and Promised Land on there...that's the channel I watch when they're on. Also, sometimes on USA and Sleuth they have Walker, Texas Ranger on. I don't watch HC anymore, unless there's a movie that I like on.
