I'm thankful I don't have to worry about pneumonia shots for two years. I got a flu shot last week and got my pneumonia shot yesterday at my rheumatologists. My arm's sore.
I got the cutest penguins at Walmart for Christmas decorations. They're the plush toys that dance or move for you. One is on a sled and when operational plays Jingle Bells while the sled rocks back and forth and th
Glad to hear you are feeling better, SR52!
Flu shots are a dead virus so they can't give you the flu, but you can have a reaction to them. I just got mine last week, too, and as usual my arm was sore and swollen for a few days. I just hope we don't get any kind of sickness that is going around this time of the year.

Nice picture, my2cents. But, nasty weather by the looks of things.
We've had beautiful weather the last couple weeks, with just a cloudy day mixed in a couple times. Actually, it's been nicer than most of the summer was around this neck of the woods.
I hope you will be feeling better soon, quiglely. It is such a difficult time when one looses a parent. Take it one day at a time and concentrate on all the good things going on in your life. It won't always be easy but things will seem brighter as the days go by. Like natasah said, we are all here to talk with whenever you need us.
What great news about your mom, SR52! Hope she is up and around and feeling great! :)
Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that I would have my dream wedding on Halloween. But when you're really in love, the day doesn't really matter. Of course our family and friends had all thought we lost our minds. But we wanted to get married in a hurry and a little trifle like Halloween day was not going to stop us.
Of course we felt a little strange being all dressed up while trick or treators paraded around in their spooky outfits. But we would have had to wait another six
Yes, Mllp....development of areas where the deer would otherwise be living is definately what is causing the influx of road accidents and eating of plants, etc. That is what is so sad to me....they just have nowhere to go. We do have a good amount of woods and two lakes around us so we do have many, many deer...but not enough undeveloped space for them to stay hidden or well fed.

Natasha - Yes, I do think you are right about the deer not bothering us as much since we have so much for them to eat all around us. If it isn't a cornfield it is one full of soy beans. The woods that surround us also provide a lot of food for them. Depending on the time of year, we do see many along side of the road after being hit by a car or truck. Just last year we had one, that came to our yard daily, get killed a few hundred feet up the road from our house.

Mllp, I know you have said in the past the deer typically do not bother your plants and garden...I was thinking the reason for that is perhaps because you do live in a rural area - so they have planty to eat (corn, apples, etc...) I think the deer eat everything in sight where I live because it is more suburban...they have not as many places to go; so the poor things eat flowers and gardens. Just in the past few days I noticed all of the heads off my mums down by the
This is a very good article about one of my many favorite books "Little Women" and the 1994 movie adaptation of it. Which in my opinion is the best adaptation ever.
