I'm 53, divorced and studying for my Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice.  I love Golden Girls and M.A.S.H. and enjoy a lot of the movies Hallmark shows.  I love classic rock (ie, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Bob Seger, Bruce Springsteen, Genesis, etc.)  I love to shop, but can't afford to very often.  I try to dress in a manner that complements my body type (full figured) but also age appropriate and fits my budget.  The most recent movies I've seen were "The Women" "Sex and the City" and "The Dark Knight."  I'm basically a bit shy, but I think friendly and smart.

I've been listening to Bob Segers "Night Moves" so often I almost have the words memorized.  Next I'll memorize "Mainstreet."  I love the guitar on both.

I'm just finding out a little more about me.  I absolutely love Intro to Lit this semester.  It's got my juices flowing.  I love the fact that I can feel the creative juices going again.  I wrote a poem (not very good - I'm sure) and I really enjoyed writing the short story.  It got me thinking that maybe I could do the research I need to write the book I've been thinking about and wanting to write.  I wouldn't care if it never got published, but at least I'd be able to say "I did it."

I would love to make some friends here.

Update:  In less than a week my oldest sister, older sister and youngest brother are taking my Mother to Nashville, IN for a few days.  The 14th of May would have been my parents 60th wedding anniversay, but he died less than a week before their 57th.  Anniversaries are still hard on Mom.  This trip will do her good.  She's taken care of us nine kids, the least we can do is make her anniversary easier for her.

Update:  Next Friday the movie Angels and Demons based on a novel by Dan Brown will be released.  It's been a while since I read the book, but it either precludes the da Vinci Code or takes off where the da Vinci Code ends.  Anyway, two weeks after it's released - if I can wait that long - I fully intend to go to Showplace 12 or Showplace 16.  Hopefully, I can use my Kerasotes discount card and see the movie for 5.  Plus the big bucks I'll spend at the concession stand.

It just made me sad to go the Hallmark website today.  (May 22)  The bashing is back, I've been accused of being a liar by someone on this website that doesn't know me AT ALL.  And while I'm sorry the TBAA fans lost their show, that is all that is being talked about.  The bashing has taken the fun of going to the message boards and the same thing with TBAA being cancelled.  Further, I don't even want to go to the GG message board and try to start a threader, because of the bashing from one person in particular.  What I don't get is if you don't like a show, why bother going to the Message board for that particular show and go after someone you don't know.  I remember how much fun the GG message board used to be when it WAS on Lifetime, before they started messing with the show time and changed the format of the message boards.  There used to be scads and scads of threads started about certain aspects of the show.  That's all I was trying to do.  Continue what had been started on another channels message board.

No one, but no one is going to convince to quit watching the Golden Girls.  No one.  I don't give a rats ass if you don't like it.  That's your perogitive.  Well, it's my perogitive to like it and I do have the right to think it's funny and view it as a great show, IMO.

Update:  I just got home after finally seeing Angels and Demons and I am so glad I saw it.  It pretty basically follows the book and was a very intense movie.  I highly recommend it especially if you liked the Da Vinci code.

It's hard to believe in a matter of a very short time I will be 53.  Sometimes, I feel (physically) older and sometimes a lot younger.  September 8 is getting here too fast.

I don't know about anyone else, but I am sick to death tired of the SPAM blogs especially about acai berry.  I'm perfectly capable of googling information about acai berry.  And I personally think that either a doctor or nutrionist ought to make those recommendations.

It's just so depressing to know that the Disney Channel doesn't have a message board for Miley Cyrus FANATICS!!  It pains me to know that Miley Cyrus - who has a line of clothes for the YOUNGER GENERATION - doesn't have her VERY OWN website.  I get sick and tired of her being crammed down my throat.  I get tired enough of having to scroll through 7 - 8 pages of pictures of the bubble gum pop princess just to look at something - anything besides Miley Cyrus.  We're not all fans.  I wish some people would quit cramming her down our throats.
