I love the "family values" types of shows that Hallmark Channel  airs. Little House and the Waltons are my favorite shows. I loved watching the children on the shows grow up. Although, I  do prefer the early episodes of both shows,  I also enjoyed  when Laura was a teen as well and first falling in love with Almanzo.  I felt they did that storyline well , and didn't rush it.

I was a huge Little House fan as a child after reading all the books. I even had a blue calico dress very similar to Laura & Mary's in the early episodes.  Although the show did not follow the books exactly, I do like how they did do many episodes that were based on things from the books.  I'm sorry to say I never liked Albert much, perhaps just because he wasn't in the books. I felt like the show brought him in to keep it from being a show just for girls.

On the Waltons, There were so many characters that I loved, but the Grandparents have a special place in my heart.  These characters felt so real to me.

I also love reading, skiing (all types ) kayaking, and running.
