  • Do you have a favorite photo that you've taken?

I thought that I would start a thread where everyone can post their favorite photo or photos.  It can be one that you've taken, or just one that you've found online.  It (or they) can be of whatever subject you would like it to be of. And if there's a story that goes with it, even better!!  Looking forward to seeing everyone's photos!

Well, I have alot, but I'll share a couple to get started.  The first one is of my horse Mitch.  He's 28 this year, and still beautiful in my opinion.  The second is a pic I took in amish country, and this horse had some personality.  He was a total ham.  And the third one is of our mare April.  It's probably one of my favorite photos of her.

WOW, looks like I missed alot of beautiful shots!  My2cents, I agree, you WERE very brave to climb up on those tracks...not me!!  There are alot of tracks around here that would make good shots...I'll see if I can't take some and post here, although they would be better when the leaves are changing, as there are alot of trees by those tracks.

I took some shots in amish country a couple of weeks ago.  My most favorite, well favorites, lol, are of the buggy shop and the horses in the barn (and I know the barn shot is of butts, lol, but I loved the lighting).  We passed the buggy shop, and I saw there were buggies and pumpkins out front, and I had to turn around to get the shot.  And the last shot I took was through the car windshield when we were behind a buggy.

sweet, I love your photos! I think that the "butt shot" (lol!) is awesome! I agree about the lighting. Is that taken on a sepia setting?
I love the one of the buggy shop. That nice blue sky and the red of the shop. Looks great! Love that last one, too. I never would have know you had taken that through your windshield! There's just something so peaceful about that last shot...another great photo! Hope you had a great time while you were there!

Thanks for the compliments on my photos!  My2cents, yep, that was shot in sepia, although I had to darken it in one of my programs because it was too light.  And your photo of the sunset is amazing!

Well, it seems our hollyhocks don't know that it's fall, and not summer!  I think the weather has them a bit confused!  I took this around the 3rd of November...they're growing by our old shed, and with the lighting on them, I couldn't refuse taking some shots.IMG_6425.JPG

Now that is a great shot, sweet! The lighting is just perfect not to mention such beautiful flowers on the 3rd of November in this part of the country. I still have roses that are blooming since they get the all day sun and are closer to the house than other plants. Nature's beauty is the best!Smile

What pretty flowers, sweets.  I know what you mean about you flowers.  My impatiens haven't caught on that it's November yet.  They still have new buds on them and I'm in no hurry to let them go, lol.

Since it was such a gorgeous day today my husband and I spent it outside in the sunshine. We went to an Audubon Center in our area and hiked through the Wetlands and walked around a huge pond. I thought I would share a few pictures with you. I wasn't sure if I should put them on here or the Fall thread.WetlandsCattails

This larger pond had geese and Trumpeter Swams on it's banks.  The picture on right is the same pond taken at a different angle. The white you see are the 3 trumpeter swams that were there today.

Sweet, such pretty flowers! And what a beautiful shot! I have to say, I wouldn't mind if the weather kept me thinking it's still summer! lol!   Cool

Gourgeous, Mllp! I love the last two....the water looks like glass! It reminds me of being bundled up in a buggy singing "....over the river and through the woods...!" (Not that I have ever done that - but that photo makes me want to!)Laughing

What pretty scenery, mllp!  If it was as pretty a day in the Finger Lakes area as it was in Indy, then I don't blame you.Cool
