I love "The Wizard of Oz" and "Gone with The Wind" quotes as those are two of my favorite books and I love the movie adaptations. There is a whole series of "Wizard of Oz" books and they are really fantastic, imaginative, fantasy fun.
I have quotes that I am going to post below:
Every job is good if you do your best and work hard. Hardworking folks only stink to the ones that have nothing better to do than stick their noses in the air. (paraphrase of Charles' words to Laura, and Laura's to Nellie, 2.01 The Richest Man in Walnut Grove)
Hard working folks only smell bad to people who have nothing better than stick their noses in the air! Well, whenever you stick your nose in the air with me, Nellie Oleson, it's going to get punched! (Laura to Nellie in, 2.01 The Richest Man in Walnut Grove)
Home is the nicest word there is (Laura Ingalls, 1.01 A Harvest of Friends)
Harry: I swear I don't know. One second the glass was there and the next it was gone. It was like magic. ~ Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone
Hermione: (after Hagrid gives Ron Scabbers back) I think you owe someone an apology.
Ron: Right. Next time I see Crookshanks, I'll let him know.
Hermione: (annoyed) I meant me! ~ Harry Potter and The Prisoner Of Azkaban
Professor McGonagall: Well, thank you for that assessment, Mr Weasley. Perhaps it would be more useful if I were to transfigure Mr Potter and yourself into a pocket watch. That way, one of you might be on time. ~ Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone:
Dumbledore: I was unfortunate enough in my youth to come across a vomit-flavored one, and since then I have rather lost my liking for them. But, I think I could be safe with a nice toffee. (eats it)
Dumbledore: ...Hmm, alas, earwax. ~ Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone
My life is a perfect graveyard of buried hopes. That's a sentence I read once and I say it over to comfort myself in these times that try the soul. ~ Anne of Green Gables
This is the most tragical thing that has ever happened to me. ~ Anne of Green Gables
ANNE:
I simply couldn't live here if I hadn't any imagination.~ Anne of Green Gables
ANNE: I suppose you're Mr. Matthew Cuthbert. My name is Anne Shirley. Anne is spelled with an "e." I was beginning to be afraid you weren't coming for me today, so I made up my mind to climb up that big, wild cherry tree and wait for you till morning. It would be lovely to sleep in a cherry tree all silvery in the moonshine, don't you think?~ Anne of Green Gables.
