  • What is your favorite candy bars or candy, past or present?

When I was a kid I  loved MILKSHAKE bars and BUTTERNUT bars, turkish taffy, coconut watermelon slices, black jacks, Mexican hats, and those little cherry-red lipsticks that were wrapped in golden foil and cellophane.  OMG, those were the days.

When I was a kid in the 70's, my favorite was the 100,000 dollar bar.

My favorite subject -- chocolate!  LOL.  I like Rolos (do they still make them?), Butterfingers, Hershey's, Whatchamacallits, Nestle Crunch, Twix, Reese's Peanut butter cups (miniature too), I could go on and on.

  • Favorite!

Mine were and still are the "Willy Wonka" bars, because it had something to do with one of my favorite books "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory". I also remember bit-o-honey, gummi worms, sour caps, sour balls, tootsie roll pops, peanut butter twix and so many more.

  • What is your favorite candy bar?

Mine is and was Snickers, M&Ms with peanuts, Milky Way and Three Muskateers.  I'm still a choco-holic, tee hee.

  • Re: What is your favorite candy bars or candy, past or present?

Reeses Peanut Butter cups and Snickers.  You know you can buy candy from alot of decades now.  I bought candy from the 70's for my hubby's birthday one year.  It had all kinds of stuff, Wax lips, Bubble gum cigarettes, bottle caps, Mary Janes, Bubble gum cigars, Atomic Fire Balls, Boston Baked Beans, ,Bit-O-Honey, KIts' Sugar Daddies, Teaberry gum, Zotz, etc..  I should have gotten the 60's decade for him though... but we had fun with it.

Yeah - they still make Rolos.  I just bought really pretty ones for Easter all wrapped in pastel colored foil.

M&M's have been my favorites since I was a teen ager(lots of years ago, huh!). My favorite candy bar was the Zagnut bar.  There are very few candies that I don't like!

I also like Almond Joy and Mound because sometimes you feel like a nut.  Sometimes you don't.  Almond Joys got nuts.  Mounds don't.

    OOO, I combined two threads.

  • A little off subject, but not much

Of course on Halloween we'd get those candy corn things.  I would go through that real fast so I could get to the good stuff (no wonder I have bye-bye arms) the CHOCOLATE!Cool

Oh I forgot about Zagnut.   They're so good and Fifth Avenue and Clark bars are too!   When we were little we used to melt Sugar Daddy's in the fire on the stove til they were bubbly and then try not to burn our tongues on them!!!  My kids and I put Charleston Chews in the freezer and take them out and crack them on the counter into bite sized pieces.  YUM!!!

  • Re: What is your favorite candy bars or candy, past or present?

Cow Tales, Mars bars, Peanut Chews, Candy Buttons (those little candy dots that came on paper - always wound up eating some of the paper! lol!), Bazooka Bubble Gum, Big League Chew, Blow Pops, Razzles (First it's a candy, then it's a gum!) • Favorite Candy

As a child it was the plain Hershey bar and it still pretty much is!  I can be very happy though with 3 Musketeers and Butterfinger and Reese's Cups.  I like Clark bars, but haven't seen them around in awhile.  Do they still make those?

Yummy, this is all making me hungry for CANDY!  I do have a great Easter basket planned for Sunday even though it will only be my husband and me here this year.  There will be everything in it from solid chocolate bunnies to jelly beans.  I will never outgrow my need for candy!

If you can't find Clark bars near you, you can order them from several sites.  One I've used that is reputable is Candywarehouse.com.  You can google it and find several places to buy it.

My sister went to a chocolate shop and bought my kids chocolate-covered popcorn for Valentine's Day.  It was WONDERFUL!!!  Neither of my kids are great chocolate fans (if you can believe that!), so I had to force myself to eat it before it went stale!  Wink
