  • The Anything Thread

This is a thread for chatting, but you MUST adhere to these simple rules.

    1. NO BASHING THE SHOWS. Yes, we know you're upset about Little House being taken off the line-up, but you dont have to bring it up every two minutes. You're just gonna sound redundant and whiny.

    2. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Simple as pie, right?

    So, how is everyone? :D

Great idea, fuzzymonkey! It sure is a pretty day today. It must be around 70 outside. I took a walk around the neighborhood and really enjoyed seeing the buds on the trees and and the fresh air. I even have my window open!(Picture this in pink text with the cool smiley.)

Those darling little boys Their age are 8 years and 5 years, I love those childrens, they called me ''GRANDMA''.. I have two daughters and neither one has make me a ''GRANDMA'' yet... It's been rainy for two days, it's about 45 here, BUT the sun just came out and the sky is clearing, YEAH!!!  Nothing like a sunny day to give you energy and a good disposition!  I would sure like to have some 70's, but I'll certainly settle for the sun shining.  I would say TGIF, but I no longer work, so for all those who do, good for you, done with the long week!

The only thing about the weekend, I miss the weekday programming(at night).  I can really not find too much to watch on weekends, there used to always be a Saturday night movie and a Sunday night movie on, back in the 80's I think. I know for sure there was always a Sunday night movie on CBS.  Anyone remember that?  They had a Jesse Stone movie on not too very long ago on CBS and I saw Tom Selleck is now working on another of the series, so maybe they are bringing back the Sunday night movies at least. Otherwise I will soon have In Plain Sight on USA on Sunday nights, I really like that show. My favorite episode was "Iris doesn't live here anymore".  It was about a schoolgirl who went to see her boyfriend, and her sister and her boyfriend went to 'protect' her because it was a bad neighborhood, well they shot the boyfriend and now she is a witness to it(He did live) since it is gangland, they have to get her into the Federal Witness Protection Program, WITSEC, the story shows how the whole family is uprooted, and the dad(Wendell Pierce - who also played Candy on Third Watch) is a gynecologist and is REALLY mad, he finally sees that his family is more important than the practice he built.. great acting, very believable characters.
Although I like them, it's nice to have something different from the regular cop shows, forensics, laywers, hospital, etc.  Ok, now that I've rambled on, about something on another station... oops, thanks for listening! Laughing

I remember them.  Wasn't it called "Saturday Night at the Movies", and the same for Sunday?  I'm glad to hear they are working on another Jesse Stone movie.  I really like them too.  I wish Hallmark would show the old ones once in a while.  I really liked the old Richard Crenna mystery movies too, like "The Hillside Stranger" and the like.  In Plain Sight is a great show.  I like her partner the best...really dry sense of humor, but he's a riot.  It is a great "filler" show for the off-season, when the big 3 networks are only airing re-runs!   I also like Burn Notice/USA; The Closer and Saving Grace/TNT.

It's rainy here today, but yesterday was BEAUTIFUL!!!!!  I hope the weekend is sunny, but I think chances are slim for that!

OMG, I forgot about those, I loved them too.  And "Kolchack, The Night Strangler"?  I bet Twilightbookworm would have liked that, since he likes paranormal stuff.  Too bad they don't have that kind of stuff on now.  I am looking forward to that "Harpers Island" that is supposed to be on soon too.  At least they are making an attempt at some different programming!

Well, it's raining here today, after being in the high 60's and sunny yesterday.  I was looking at the 7 day forecast, and see that it's supposed to get colder, and snow by Monday!  But then a warmup (after 5 days of rain and snow everday), or so we hope!

Our horses really enjoyed it outside yesterday, running and bucking.  They're so fun to watch.  I did alot of things in our barn...a little spring cleaning.

Today, I think I'll work on some artwork, and hopefully I'll get this one I'm currently working on finished.

    Later everyone.

Spent part of the day at the mall so didn't hear about the tragedy in Binghamton, NY until this afternoon. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the families of those who were injured or perished as a result of this terrible incident.

It was 55 here today but very windy with lots of rain. Looks like snow in the forecast for tomorrow and something(not spring like!) brewing for next week. April is truly the transition month from winter to spring. Enjoy your week end!

It rained all day. I wish it could stop snowing forever....and do away with daylight savings.

The weather's been weird here.  Yesterday it was beautiful!  It must have about 70 degrees outside.  I took a nice walk and so forth.  But today, I don't think it even made it to 50 degrees.  And it was windy and nasty.  Tomorrow, it's supposed to get to the lower 60's, but Sunday they're talking about snow showers.  April in Indiana...

Well, SR52, we on the NY/PA border woke up to the snow you mentioned this morning.  It's like a blizzard out there.  I feel like I'm sitting in the middle of a big snow globe!  The wind is terrible, kept me awake all night long.  I looked out the kitchen window and all three of our trash cans are in the neighbors back yard, and the lids are nowhere to be seen.  Thank goodness the next neighbor over has a fence or God knows where my trash cans would have ended up!!   They say it's going to stop and get up into the 40's today, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Today we have sun and 50's in Illinois. It looks nicer out that it is though, still pretty chilly.  The next 5 days look ugly though.  I will be happy to get out of the rainy/windy damp weather season, it can be depressing!  But, we do have May coming soon, at least it's not still mid january!Laughing

Yaaay for May!  The Indianapolis 500 is the Memorial Day weekend and I'm hoping my brother will have one of his Race Day parties.  They're a blast!  We always have pools and whoever draws the name of the winner gets the pot - usually 32 dollars and the person who draws the name of the racer out first gets their dollar back!  Anyhow, he'll have the grill going all day and we'll bring sides, deserts, beer.  It's a lot of fun!  I'm telling you!Cool

  • Thanks!

i'm so excited to be going on this vacation. we're leaving on the 14th, and returning on the 21st. i'm taking my 15 year old daughter.  Its interesting about how i'm getting to go. i'm a 7 year breast cancer survivor, and went to a taping of the Ellen show on October 31.  the entire audience was filled with just Breast Cancer survivors, so my friend who is also a survivor went with me.  One of the 'prizes' they gave us, was a round trip ticket anywhere American flies w/in the USA! She was kind enough to give me her ticket so i wouldnt have to fly alone! how cool? so i chose to visit a friend i hadnt seen in 10 yrs.  it should be fun!

again, thank you for your kind post, things like that make my day!

Yes, wondeful story, and it gives many people hope for the future if they have been struck with this disease.  You can do anything! Hope and good attitude towards each day is also a form of therapy.  How lucky to spend such a great vacation with your daughter, enjoy yourself!
