Hi,
I am new to blogging, honestly there has been nothing else that I am this passionate about! I had been DVRing this show, and toroughly enjoying it for the last 2 months, and it has disappeared!! I came in at the end oth the show, and was thrilled when the show started over from the beginning. I have been telling everyone I know about this show. It is an awedsome comical reference for every parent that wants to parent better-maybe not wanting to be like the parenting role models they had in their life-but unsure as to where to look for better ones!
This is the best thing out there to help "break the cycle"!! of violence, abuse, neglect, all the horrible sad things parents are trying to break the cyle of in their lives, that they can raise their children better than they were raised themselves! And when we question, what is normal, or best way to teach something, this show has really wonderful ideas!!
The show about Simon learning about the Holocaust from his Neighbor--I believe it was titled "I Hate You!"-- I DVRed it, then watched it with my daughter, neice, and a few other friends of my daughter that had been discussing it quite casually, and were convinced that "it never really happened". It got the questions forming -then with accessing the internet- we were able to change long held beliefs by several families, that had been taught and believed that it was "blown way out of proportion-because that's the only way to get the American's outraged enough to join a 'European' problem".
I am always amazed at what I learn! Annie is my ro0le model-patience-learning howto-do all those things: plumbing electrical, etc. Rather than depending on someone else to do/fix for her, it's AWESOME! And seeing that she faces the same issues as US!
