Genie acting as "Mother" is as exciting and poignant to watch as Genie doing almost anything else.  Anyone who has witnessed Genie acting in this role has truly been blessed with a heartfelt, insightful and amazing performance.

Jonathan Jackson [ex Lucky/GH] has said of Genie's influence on him and what he learned from her the following:

"I learned to listen in an emotional way from her. Being so young and witnessing such power from the person playing your mother was intense. In some ways it was quite easy. And again, to trust my instincts...it was a divine connection.  It was meant to be, that's what I would say. Genie has compassion in her, and my little heart resonated with that. These things can't be explained very well...I was 11 years old when I started and Genie treated me with such kindness and grace. She protected me and always taught me to trust my instincts. She was fun and very present in everything we did together...it was pure joy."

Tyler Christopher [Nikolas Cassadine/GH] on Genie Francis:

"I had a really intense connection with her...I think she's got life figured out and I don't even have to sit down and talk with her to know that. She's that figure in my life that I need that kind of connection with.  The mother-son thing was great and I enjoyed that more than anything else...I hope and pray she comes back.  Everything Nikolas is now is affected by his past with his mother..." 

This video is a tribute to Genie "the mother".  She was a lioness when it came to her children - protecting them at all costs.  It's always a joy to watch her in the role of mother because she does it, as she does EVERYTHING, so well.  Enjoy!
