Genie Francis was 1/2 of the greatest supercouple to ever grace daytime.  With the news today that Guiding Light has been cancelled, I find myself feeling a little melancholy.  It seems like the Grand Titans of daytime are falling by the wayside.  I use to watch that soap with my mother when I was a little girl.  I graduated to Genie's General Hospital as a teen.  She made me cross-over.   They were glorious days! 

So, I was just missing seeing Genie on my t.v. today and got to thinking about another time - another life...She is part of a great daytime legacy, and I celebrate that today.  I wanted to remember Genie doing what she does best: entertain us, touch us and make us long to see her everyday on our t.v.'s where she belongs.  It's a beautiful character, a magical story and wonderful memories.   Thank you, Genie, for the golden splendor of your storytelling.
